Founding Patriarch
John Nii Okutu Quarcoopome · Accra, Ghana · circa 1824

John Nii Okutu Quarcoopome arrived in the coastal settlement of Old Accra around 1824, carrying with him the proud heritage of his Yoruba and Calabar ancestry.

He established a household, built relationships with the Ga community, and planted the roots of what would become one of Accra's most distinguished family names.

John Sackey Quarcoopome — J.S. to those who knew him best — was a man who understood that true legacy is not what you accumulate, but what you build for others.

His life was one of extraordinary achievement: six major properties across Accra and its surrounds, 13 children raised with purpose and pride, and a name that became synonymous with strength of character.
